Covers In A Sea Of Sunshine

Casiokids recently announced yet another album with a title that makes me glad I only have to spell and not actually say. Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen and its subsequent single comes out October 11th on Polyvinyl and if its as good as they say it is, not only can we expect it to be at least as interesting as their debut, but it will also surpass it as their best. Maybe/maybe not, but either way we all must wait.

Det haster!

Owen sporadically puts out records now and again… even this last year he released a 7″ with 2 songs on it. If he keeps up the same pace, hopefully he’ll give us another LP sometime next year. Until then, you can rest assured that he’ll keep writing and performing… even if its a random performance in a hot dog stand right down the street from you. This is a clip of him courtesy of the A.V. Club performing a cover of ‘Summertime Rolls‘ by Jane’s Addiction.

Labrador Records have given us a lot to be thankful for over the years. They may only sign bands from Sweden, but thats not to say that they aren’t some of the most interesting and beautiful artists that Europe has to offer. Pallers is yet another of those artists who’ve made their debut with Labrador, but have only put out a single here and there. That stops now because their debut record, The Sea Of Memories, will now be released on September 27th worldwide. Their single, Come Rain, Come Sunshine, is a very thoughtful and rich-textured song that only strengthens the anticipation of the full-length… just like its supposed to.
